Why Hydroponic?
Organization
Whether a grower is only looking to provide fresh produce for their family at home or grow multiple crops for a larger audience, Lone Oak Farming Systems can help organize growing efforts. Traditional outdoor gardens can require hours of planting, maintaining and harvesting. Our hydroponic systems help make growing easier and more structured. Organizing a garden by stacks and rows can help growers plan their crop rotations and harvests more effectively. Additionally, Lone Oak Farming Systems can help clean up your growing area. Compared to traditional farming and other hydroponics systems, our systems are drastically cleaner, easier to maintain and more organized. All three of our systems will reduce the overall workload associated with growing and increase crop quality.
Automation
One of the most appealing aspects of the Lone Oak Farming System is the ability for the system to engage in automated tasks. All of our systems come with pumps and timers that help regulate watering and feeding times. This means that less time will be spent by you, the grower, on intensive labor. Our timers can be set for the plant’s optimal watering and feeding hours and operate on their own. This means that home gardeners can set the time and head to work with the confidence that their plants are taken care of.
The engineering and design of our system enables the grower to harvest with more automation and efficiency as well. Each stack controls the plants on a vertical axis but allows them to be rotated, for easier sun light distribution and harvesting. Other systems do not contain this feature, which can result in poorer light distribution for certain areas on the stack and longer harvesting times for the grower.
Environmental Stewardship
Protecting our planet from climate change has been an important issue for the world and Lone Oak Organics is aiming to help with local agriculture. Our systems are more environmental than traditional farming methods because we conserve valuable resources, protect natural habitats and life cycles and we do not use harmful chemicals on our plants. Additionally, growing locally reduces the amount of energy that is needed to get food from the field to your table. By allowing our customers to grow produce in their own backyard and closer to urban centers, Lone Oak is reducing the supply chain footprint for produce.
